The day we lost Curtis is a day I will never forget. I was at home fooling with my hounds when I got the heartbreaking
call. I was devastated. I kept thinking `He survived awfull coon fights, he survived falling out trees, how could he
be gone?`. I remember busting out crying and sitting on one of my dogs kennel floor bawling my eyes out. All my hounds
got deathly quiet and laid down with there head on there feet as if they knew what had happened. The kennel I was sitting
in just happened to be Mandys and she came up beside me and laid her head on my leg. I felt like I had lost my best friend.
Curtis was a very special hound to me. He was the first hound I ever entered a competition hunt with, he was the first hound
I ever won with. I used to joke and call him `The Teddybear` because of how soft his hair on his back was. I cant descride
how much I miss Curtis and no hound I ever get will fill his void
